Challenge 87 at Crafty Cardmakers

Hi all, it's challenge time again over at Crafty Cardmakers! 

Our latest challenge is hosted by Yvonne who has chosen the theme 'Friendship'.

Now onto my inspiration for the challenge. I was quite excited about this challenge, I have been a fan of one of our sponsors, Krista Smith who designs the fabulous Saturated Canary images, for quite a while and love her work so couldn't wait to colour one of her images for my card.

Here is my card:

I have used the fab Harley and Haley image from Saturated Canary coloured with ProMarkers. I wanted to keep the card really simple to showcase the fab image. I die cut a card blank, inked around the edges with Distress Ink added the sentiment and some gems. The image was mounted onto the card with silicon glue to add a bit of dimension and I added some stickles for a touch of bling!

So, here is my take on the challenge:

I have used a Lili of the Valley rubber stamp, coloured with ProMarkers, die cut with a Spellbinders die and inked around the edge with Brilliance ink pad.

The background paper is from Papermania's new Chronology range. I have debossed the black card base for interest....actually I meant to emboss it but put the card in the embossing folder the wrong way round :o)!!

The bunting and 'boy' is die cut and the bunting is threaded with bakers twine.
