Hello again!
I made this piece after being inspired by the fabulous Hels Sheridan on C & C tv a while back......I've had it in my head to make for a while and finally found the time. I've been making paper roses for quite a while and always use cartridge paper which has a nice weight and texture to it which, when used with Distress Inks, gives a nice grungy finish. I used the Tim Holtz tattered florals die and cut and layered up the rose. I also used a Tim Holtz wordy stamp which kinda sums up life quite nicely I think :o)
I also used Studio 490 Art Parts for the frame and swirly leaves which I inked up with distress inks. The wordy stamp is part of a collection and I think I will be making a few more pieces with the rest of these.....one is particularly apt for the usual (untidy) state of my craft room!!! I'll post that one as soon as I make it ;o)
Back again soon x
Sharon, your rose is fabulous. I don't have tattered florals myself ,but they make beautiful roses. I think it takes all of a little while to find our mojo after the winter and all the celebrations etc. Happy Crafting Rita xxxx
